HomeMy WebLinkAbout9330 - Beacon Bay Lease Committeer • RESOLUTION NO. 9330 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REESTABLISHING THE BEACON BAY LEASE COMMITTEE WHEREAS, on August 23, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8879 establishing the Beacon Bay Lease Committee; and WHEREAS, said Committee went out of existence on October 25, 1976; and WHEREAS, State legislation has recently been enacted which will clear the cloud on those homes located in Beacon Bay which were apparently constructed on tidelands; and WHEREAS, in light of this legislation, the Beacon Bay Homeowners Association has requested the City Council to reopen negotiations for extending their leases; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby reestablish the Beacon Bay Lease Committee which shall have the following purposes: 1. Meet when appropriate with representatives of the Beacon Bay Association and Balboa Yacht Basin to review land use alternatives and to negotiate terms of a new lease agreement with the homeowners and operator of the Balboa Yacht Basin; 2. Report back to Council from time to time on the • status of the meetings. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Committee shall be terminated and cease to exist on or before May 1, 1980.
