A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE PARKING FEES,
TIMES OF OPERATION, RECREATION METER, AND THE
USE OF SEASONAL PARKING PERMITS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE OFF - STREET PARKING METER ZONE 17
LOCATED ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF NEWPORT BOULE-
VARD BETWEEN 28TH STREET AND THE ALLEY SOUTHERLY
OF 30TH STREET
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.030 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by
resolution establish off - street parking meter zones, inclu-
ding any land owned, leased or controlled by the City, as
traffic and parking conditions require; and
WHEREAS, said Section further provides that the City
Council shall by resolution also establish the fees for
parking in such off - street parking meter zones;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that it is reasonable and in the
public interest to establish the following parking meter
regulations for Parking Meter Zone 17:
(a) The parking meter fee shall be 25 cents
per hour and two -hour and six -hour meters
shall be used;
(b) The parking meters shall be in operation
from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days per
week and each week of the year;
(c) Parking meters in Zone 17 are designated
as recreational area meters for enforcement
purposes;
(d) The seasonal parking pass sold by the City
of Newport Beach shall be honored in said
Zone 17.
