A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
SMITH ELECTRIC SUPPLY IN CONNECTION WITH THE
LIGHTING SYSTEM REPLACEMENT ON BALBOA AND
NEWPORT PIERS, 1977 -78, CONTRACT NO. 2001
•
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the lighting system replacement on
Balboa and Newport Piers, 1977 -78, in accordance with the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
on the 13th day of June, 1978, and publicly opened and declared;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is SMITH ELECTRIC SUPPLY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of SMITH ELECTRIC SUPPLY
for work in connection with the lighting system replacement on
the Balboa and Newport Piers in the amount of $51,900 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to said
bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid, and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 26th day of June
