A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE PARCEL MAP FOR
RESUBDIVISION NO. 579, ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION
OF A PORTION OF MacARTHUR BOULEVARD AND CAMPUS
DRIVE, EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC UTILITY, BICYCLE
TRAIL AND /OR PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY PURPOSES, AND
RELEASE AND RELINQUISHMENT OF ALL VEHICULAR
ACCESS RIGHTS TO MacARTHUR BOULEVARD AND CAMPUS
• DRIVE EXCEPT FOR TWO PRIVATE DRIVES ON CAMPUS
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach a Parcel Map for Resubdivision No. 579, subject to the offer of
dedication of a portion of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive, easements for
public utility, bicycle trail and /or pedestrian walkway purposes, and release
and relinquishment of all vehicular access rights to MacArthur Boulevard and
Campus Drive except for two private drives on Campus Drive; and
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company has made the offer of dedication of
a portion of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive and easements for public
utility, bicycle trail and /or pedestrian walkway purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Parcel Map and the offer
of dedication of a portion of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive, easements
for public utility, bicycle trail and /or pedestrian walkway purposes, and
release and relinquishment of all vehicular access rights to MacArthur Boulevard
and Campus Drive except for two private drives on Campus Drive, and finds that
the approval of the Parcel Map and the acceptance of the above - described offer
of dedication and vehicular access rights to be in the best interests of the
City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that said Parcel Map is approved and the offer of dedication is
hereby accepted and the vehicular access rights to MacArthur Boulevard and
Campus Drive except for two private drives on Campus Drive are hereby accepted,
and the City Clerk is authorized to execute the certificate on said map con-
sistent herewith and approving the signature omissions per Section 66436(b)(1)
of the Subdivision Map Act.
