A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH ADVISING THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY
FINANCING PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE THAT THE
CITY HAS MADE NO CHANGES IN THE CIRCULATION
ELEMENT - MASTER PLAN OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
SINCE JULY 1, 1977, AND REQUESTING THAT THE
COUNTY MAKE CHANGES TO THE MASTER PLAN OF
ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS TO BRING IT INTO CONFORMANCE
WITH THE CITY'S PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is a participant
in the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange Arterial Highway
Financing Program Procedure Manual requires that each city
which intends to participate in said program adopt a resolution
each year informing the Advisory Committee as to whether or not
changes have been made to the Arterial Highway Master Plan
within said city, and to request that said changes, if any, be
adopted into the County Arterial Highway Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City has not made any changes in the
Circulation Element - Master Plan of Streets and Highways since
July 1, 1977; and
WHEREAS, there are certain differences existing between
the City's Circulation Element - Master Plan of Streets and Highways
and the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial Highways as detailed
on a list attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part
hereof by this reference,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
• the City of Newport Beach hereby requests the Arterial Highway
Financing Program Advisory Committee to take action to cause the
inclusion of said changes in the Orange County Master Plan of
Arterial Highways, as shown on said Exhibit "A," in order that
said changes may be included in the County Arterial Highway
Financing Program.
