A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE
BALBOA OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB
WHEREAS, the Outrigger Canoe World Race will be
held in Kona, Hawaii, on September 2 and 3, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Balboa Outrigger Canoe Club will have
representatives participating in the men's and women's divi-
sions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes the Outrigger Canoe
Club the best of luck in the World Race;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby expresses its strong support
for the Balboa Outrigger Canoe Club in representing the City of
Newport Beach at the World Race in Hawaii, September 2 and 3, 1978.
ADOPTED this 14th day of August , 1978.
