RESOLUTION NO. 9426
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING COMPENSATION PLAN
AND TABLE OF AUTHORIZATION OF PERMANENT
EMPLOYEE CLASSES
WHEREAS, on June 26, 1978, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9381, entitled
"A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
Extending the Terms and Conditions of the Compensation Plan
and Table of Authorization of Permanent Employee Classes for
Fiscal Period 1977 -78 as Amended;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the City
Manager's plan to reorganize the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, said reorganization will result in certain
changes in the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization of
Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No. 9381,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves the following
amendments to the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization
of Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No. 9381:
1. The Assistant Public Works Director /City Engineer
class is eliminated;
2. The Civil Engineer class is eliminated;
3. The Assistant Utilities Superintendent class is
eliminated.
isBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following employee
classes and assignment to salary ranges is hereby established:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary range of the
Utilities Superintendent is amended as follows:
