• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A RATE INCREASE
IN THE FEES AND CHARGES FOR COMMUNITY CABLEVISION
COMPANY AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6487
WHEREAS, on December 27, 1966, the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 6485 establishing
a rate schedule which Community Cablevision Company (hereinafter
"Community Cable ") could charge its customers; and
WHEREAS, Community Cable has requested a service rate
increase within their franchised area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5.44.035 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
9443 fixing October 24, 1978, as the date to hold a public
hearing to consider said rate increase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the following rate schedule for
CATV Services proposed by Community Cable is hereby approved:
RATE SCHEDULE FOR CATV SERVICES
A. Installation Charges for Normal Installations
The term "normal installation" shall mean any installa-
tion which requires not more than 150 feet of home drop cable
to a reasonable location for a service connection.
1. Connection Fee for Existing Service
2. New or Additional Outlet, Each
3. Relocate Outlet, Each
4. Extended Lead (15 feet)

B. Installation Charges for Remote Dwelling
The term "remote dwelling" shall mean any installa-
tion which requires more than 150 feet of home drop cable
to a reasonable location for a service connection. Charges
• to remote dwellings shall be based upon actual cost to
Community Cable for time and materials of making the
installation.
C. Unusual Installation Charge
In cases where normal installation charges as set forth
herein do not apply, Community Cable shall so advise a
potential subscriber before executing a CATV rental agreement.
In all such cases, a definite installation charge shall be
specified in the agreement with the subscriber.
D. Monthly Service Rental Charges
Monthly service rental charges are based on either an
individual account or bulk account.
1. Individual Account (up to 2 outlets) $ 10.00
Additional Outlets, Each 2.00
2. Bulk Account (up to 2 outlets) 6.70
Additional Outlets, Each 2.00
E. Monthly Service Rental Charges for Commercial
Establishments
The monthly service 'rental charge for commercial business
establishments other than hotels and motels shall be based
on the individual account rates.

The monthly service rental charge for hotels, motels, and
community associations shall be based on the bulk account rate..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 6487 is hereby
rescinded.
