A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH RELINQUISHING RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF PART 2, DIVISION.13, OF
THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA RELATING TO MOBILEHOMES AND MOBILE -
HOME PARKS AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 5509
WHEREAS, Section 18010 of the State Health and
Safety Code provides that a city may assume the responsibility
for the enforcement of state mobilehomes and mobilehome parks
regulations; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1961, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 5509 assuming the responsbility for
enforcement of the state mobilehomes and mobilehome parks
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City no longer has the staff or time
available to continue with said enforcement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby relinquishes responsibility
for the enforcement of Part 2, Division 13, of the California
Health and Safety Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is instructed
to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to the Division
of Housing of the Department of Industrial Relations of the
State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 5509 is
hereby rescinded.
ADOPTED this 13th day of November , 1978.
