RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH INCREASING THE BASIC WATER
QUANTITY RATE FROM $0.45 PER 100 CUBIC FEET
TO $0.50 PER 100 CUBIC FEET, EFFECTIVE JULY 1,
1980
WHEREAS, Section 14.12.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides for an automatic water rate adjustment
based upon increases in the quantity charge from the Metro-
politan Water District to be approved by resolution of the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, on March 11, 1.980, the Board of Directors
of the Metropolitan Water District voted to increase their
rates effective July 1, 1980; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 14.12.090 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code, the city water rates will be adjusted to
reflect Metropolitan Water District rate increases by resolu-
tion of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the basic water quantity
rate be increased from $0.45 per 100 cubic feet to $0.50 per
100 cubic feet, effective July 1, 1980.
