RESOLUTION NO. 9779
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF
AN ADDITIONAL ASSOCIATE PLANNER POSITION,
THE ELIMINATION OF AN ASSISTANT PLANNER POSI-
TION, AND THE AMENDMENT OF THE COMPENSATION
PLAN AND TABLE OF AUTHORIZATION
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended to the City Council that one additional
Associate Planner position be created and that the Assistant
Planner position be eliminated; and
• WHEREAS, said changes will result in certain amend -
ments.to the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization of
Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No. 9646
which was adopted by the City. Council on October 1, 1979,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves said recommenda-
tion and amends the Compensation Flan and Table of Authorization
of Permanent Employee Classes as follows:
1. The position of Assistant Planner is eliminated;
• 2. One Associate Planner position is created with
a salary range of 53.015 - 57.015 ($1,560- $1,896).
