A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A SEWER USE
CHARGE AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 14.24.065 OF
THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, TO BECOME
EFFECTIVE JULY 10, 1980
WHEREAS, on June 9, 1980, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Ordinance No. 1848 which
amended Section 14.24.065 of the 'Newport Beach Municipal
Code to establish by resolution of the City Council a sewer
use charge, which ordinance shall become effective July 9,
1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the fees
recommended by the City Manager and finds them to be fair,
equitable and reasonable,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes a
sewer use charge of a flat fee of $2.20 per month per sewer
connection, plus an extra charge for additional units. For
each additional living unit connected to a single sewer con-
nection, the extra charge shall be $1.10. For each hotel
and hospital room, the extra charge shall be $.55.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date for
said sewer use charges shall be July 10, 1980.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of June, 1980.
