• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A METER TEST
DEPOSIT AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 14.20.030 OF
THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, TO BECOME
EFFECTIVE JULY 10, 1980
WHEREAS, on.June 9, 1980, the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach adopted Ordinance No. 1849 which
amended Section 14.20.030 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code to establish by resolution of the City Council the
amount to be deposited for water meter testing, which
ordinance shall become effective July 9, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the
fees recommended by the City Manager and finds them to be
fair, equitable and reasonable,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes
the following fees as the amounts to be deposited with the
City for water meter testing:
For any meter up to and including
two inches (2 ") $ 25.00
For any meter exceeding two inches
(2 ") , the test deposit shall be
the cost to the City, as deter-
mined by the Utilities Depart-
ment, including all labor and
material.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date
for said water meter testing fees shall be July 10, 1980.
