• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A
WRITTEN ARGUMENT IN FAVOR OF A CITY MEASURE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, a special election is to be held in the
City of Newport Beach on November 4, 1980, at which there
will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City
the following City measure:
Proposition A
Shall the City Council be given the authority,
pursuant to the provisions of Section 422 of the
Charter of the City of Newport Beach, to negotiate
and enter into an agreement to amend the existing
Route 73 (Corona del Mar) Freeway Agreement in the
Bristol Street - Campus Drive - Jamboree Road -
MacArthur Boulevard area by providing for design
in accordance with current traffic needs and
engineering standards?; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize
the City Council to file a written argument in favor of said
City measure,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes the filing of a
written argument in favor of said. City measure by the City
Council.
