HomeMy WebLinkAbout9990 - Fire Chief Office Destruction of Records• LJ RESOLUTION NO. 9990 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS IN THE FIRE CHIEF'S OFFICE WHEREAS, there are certain records, documents, instruments, books and papers in the Fire Chief's office which are no longer required for any City business and are ready for destruction, and WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the California Government Code provides that the head of a city department, with the approval of the legislative body by resolution, and the written consent of the City Attorney, may destroy certain records without making a copy thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to destroy, and the City Council approves the destruction of, the records itemized and described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, said exhibit consisting of one page.
