RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS.
9946 and 9947 BY APPROVING RATE INCREASES
PER MONTH FOR UNIVERSAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE
IN CONNECTION WITH JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND CITY LIBRARY
FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
previously adopted Resolutions No. 9946 and 9947 which
established, among other things, rates for janitorial services
for the Police Department and Library facilities; and
WHEREAS, on December 1, 1981 the City received letters
from Universal Building Maintenance concerning their rate
increases for the janitorial services, effective January 1, 1982
which are presently being performed for the Police Department and
Library facilities; and
WHEREAS, The Assistant to the City Manager has
recommended that said increased rates be paid as follows:
Police Department
From $2,658.00 to $2,817.00
Newport Center Library
From $1,085.00 to $1,137.00
Balboa Library
From $753.00 to $789.00
Corona del Mar Library
From $328.00 to $344.00
Mariners Library
From $550.00 to $577.00
Increase
$159.00 /mo.
$ 52.00 /mo.
$ 36.00 /mo.
$ 16.00 /mo.
$ 27.00 /mo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the rates paid to Universal
Building Maintenance be increased as listed above;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other portions of
Resolutions 9946 and 9947 shall remain in full force and effect.
