A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9597 BY EXTENDING THE TERM
OF THE ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT AVIATION COMMITTEE TO
DECEMBER 31, 1982
• WHEREAS, on July 10, 1979, the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9597 establishing the
"Orange County Airport Aviation Committee," setting forth the
duties and responsibilities of that Committee and requiring it to
sunset on July 10, 1980; and
WHEREAS, on July 14, 1980 the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 10098 which extended the
term of this committee to December 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, due to the on -going nature of the City's
attempts to prevent airport expansion and the resultant
litigation necessitated thereby, the City Council desires to
extend the term of the Airport Aviation Committee to December 31,
1982, and to have the Appointments Committee review the
composition of the committee during the annual review of
committees in October of each year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the term of the Orange County
Airport Aviation Committee be and hereby is extended to December
31, 1982, subject to all other terms and conditions of Resolution
No. 9597;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other terms and
conditions of Resolution No. 9597 not inconsistent herewith shall
remain in full force and effect.
