A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8936
PROHIBITING PARKING ON BALBOA BLVD. BETWEEN
15TH & 21ST STS ON DESIGNATED DAYS BY ADDING
MEMORIAL DAY THERETO
WHEREAS, on November 8, 1976, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, pursuant to Section 12.44.150 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code, adopted Resolution No. 8936 which
provided, among other things, the designation of streets and the
days on which parking was prohibited thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has recommended
that Memorial Day be added to the days included on said
Resolution where tow -away parking restrictions on the northerly
side of Balboa Blvd. between 15th St. and 21st St., shall be
enforced;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that Resolution No. 8936 be and hereby
is amended to include Memorial Day on the list of days when the
parking of vehicles shall be prohibited as set forth above;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
areas to indicate days of such parking prohibition.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of March , 1982.
