A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH MODIFYING THE FEE FOR SEWER
USE CHARGE, AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 14.24.065
OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, TO BECOME
EFFCTIVE JULY 1, 1982 AND RESCINDING
• RESOLUTION NO. 10067
WHEREAS, Section 14.24.065 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that a sewer use charge shall be
established by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, to offset the cost of inflation it has been
recommended by the Utilities Director that the basic use fees be
increased proportionately; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the fees
recommended by the City Manager and finds them to be fair,
equitable and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes
of a flat fee of $2.60 per month, per sewer
extra charge for additional units. For each
unit connected to a single sewer connection,
shall be $1.30. For each hotel and hospital
charge shall be $0.65.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date for said
sewer use charge shall be July 1, 1982.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 10067 be and
hereby is rescinded.
