A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH LIMITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF 15TH STREET
• FROM IRVINE AVENUE TO THE ALLEY
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides, among other things, than when authorized
signs are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall stop,
stand or park any vehicle between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00
p.m., of any day for, a period of time longer than two hours,
upon such streets or portions thereof as the City Council shall
designated by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010 (c) of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code further provides that the City Council may vary
the hours and days during which the foregoing restrictions shall
be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has recommended
to the City Council the necessity to limit the parking of
vehicles as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the parking of vehicles between
the hours of 8:00 a.m., and 4:00 p.m., on school days, be limited
to two (2) hours at the following location, as depicted on a map
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ":
15th Street from Irvine Avenue to the alley
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
be and hereby is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or
mark said area to indicate such parking limitations.
