HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-156 - Stop Sign Installation at Port Seabourne.0 • RESOLUTION NO. 82 -156 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING A THREE -WAY INTERSECTION WHERE VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AT PORT SEABOURNE WAY AND NEWPORT HILLS DRIVE WEST AND DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT AND MAINTAIN ALL NECESSARY SIGNS THEREAT WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides, among other things, that whenever any ordinance or resolution of this City designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a through street or any intersection at which vehicles are required to stop, at one or more entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain stop signs on each and every street intersecting such through street or portion thereof so designated; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Affairs Committee has recommended to the City Council that due to the need for intersection control at Port Seabourne Way and Newport Hills Drive West in the City of Newport Beach, traffic should be required to stop and stop signs should be posted for traffic. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, that the following described location is hereby designated as a three -way stop location at which vehicles are required to stop: Port Seabourne Way and Newport Hills Drive West BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer be and hereby is directed to erect and maintain all necessary signs at the above location.
