RESOLUTION NO.8 2 - 1 6 O
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DETERMINING URBAN LIMITS, FUNCTIONAL
CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS, ANI) DESIGNATING CERTAIN
ROADS TO BE IN THE FEDERAL -AID SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Administration has
requested revised urban limits to reflect the 1980 Bureau of
Census boundary; and
WHEREAS, the currently approved functional
classification of all streets and roads has been reviewed; and
WHEREAS, under regulations issued by the Secretary of
Transportation under Federal -Aid Highway Act (Title 23 U.S.
Code), the CITY, with the concurrence of the California
Department of Transporation, has been designated to select a
Federal -Aid Urban System in this CIT:it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED'by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that:
1. This City Council concurs in and approves the urban
limits as shown on EXHIBIT A.
2. This City Council concurs in and approves the
functional classification of streets and roads as shown on
EXHIBIT B.
3. This City Council concurs in and approves the road as
graphically shown on EXHIBIT C and as designated in EXHIBIT D
(all exhibits being attached hereto and hereby made a part of
this Resolution) as an addition to the Federal -Aid Urban System
eligible for Federal -Aid in the the City of Newport Beach, State
of California, subject to the concurrence of the California
Department of Transportation and approval of the Federal Highway
Administration.
