RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN BY
INCREASING THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE DATA
PROCESSING MANAGER
WHEREAS, the Data Processing Department has in-
creased in the size of staff, and the Data Processing
Manager has been required to train new personnel and adopt
new management techniques; and
WHEREAS, the duties and responsibilities of the
Data Processing Manager have increased, both in quantity and
difficulty, with the acquisition of a new computer system;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of amending
its classification and compensation plan to provide for a
salary increase that more accurately reflects these ad-
ditional duties and responsibilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the salary range for the
Data Processing Manager be increased as follows:
CLASSIFICATION COMPENSATION
FROM: 65.020 $2,554 - $3,104
TO: 69.020 $2,816 - $3,422
ADOPTED this 14th day of March , 1983.
