RESOLUTION NO. 83 -31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH A
NEWPORT BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT "COP -ON- CAMPUS"
FUND WITHIN THE CITY TREASURY.
WHEREAS, the Cop -On- Campus Program will provide valuable
interaction between the Newport Beach Police Department and the young
people of this city; and
WHEREAS, the Cop -On- Campus Program will provide the young
people of the City of Newport Beach with greater knowledge and
understanding of the role of police in society; and
WHEREAS, citizens of this community have shown an interest and
desire in contributing both personal and financial support to this
program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that a Newport Beach Police Department "Cop -On- Campus
Fund" be established within the City treasury.
