A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH SUMMARILY VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF THE STREET KNOWN AS
OCEAN FRONT, ADJACENT TO LOT 3, BLOCK C,
SEASHORE COLONY TRACT (DWG R/W - 5245 -L)
WHEREAS, a street known as Ocean Front (formerly Ocean
Avenue) has heretofore been dedicated to the City of Newport
Beach as a public highway, a portion of which street is depicted
and described on the description and drawing form prepared by the
Public Works Department of the City of Newport Beach, which
description and drawing form are attached hereto as Exhibits "A"
and "B "; and
WHEREAS, the portion of the street above - described has
not been used by the City of Newport Beach since acquisition and
has remained continuously unused by the City of Newport Beach for
any public purpose; and
WHEREAS, there are no public utility facilities in
place that would be affected by the vacation of this portion of
the street; and
WHEREAS, this portion of the street is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use, and it is the desire of the
City of Newport Beach to summarily vacate this portion of the
street, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 4 of Part 3 of
Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California. (Section 8333)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, that this portion of the street
legally described on Exhibit "A" referred to above and depicted
on the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit "B ", be summarily
vacated and abandoned; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall be
subject to the recordation of Grant Deed from the owners of
• record for the Northeasterly 15 feet of Lot 3, Block C, Seashore
Colony Tract as per map recorded in Book 7, Page 25 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall cause
a certified copy of this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk,
under seal, to be recorded in the office of the Recorder for the
County of Orange; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that from and after the date
this Resolution is recorded, said portion of the street legally
described on Exhibits "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B ", referred
to above, shall no longer be constituted a street.

That portion of Ocean Front (50 feet in width) formerly known as Ocean
Avenue, adjoining Lot 3 in Block C of the Seashore Colony Tract, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 7, Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 3, Block C,
Seashore Colony Tract in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 7,
Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County; thence northwesterly along the north-
easterly line of Ocean Front formerly known as Ocean Avenue, as
shown on said map of Seashore Colony Tract, to the most south-
erly corner of Lot 4 of said Block C; thence southwesterly along
the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said
Lot 4 to a line parallel with and distant southwesterly 15 feet
(measured at right angles) from said northeasterly line of Ocean
Front; thence southeasterly along said parallel line to the
southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said
Lot.3; thence northeasterly along said southwesterly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of said Lot 3 to the Point of Beginning.
