A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S INTENTION TO VA-
CATE THE 20 -FT. WIDE ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN ST.
ANDREWS RD. & 15TH ST.; ACCEPTING A MAP SHOWING
• THE PORTION OF ALLEY PROPOSED TO BE VACATED AND
SETTING SEPT. 12, 1983 AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING CONCERNING THE INTENDED VACATION (DWG.
5474 -L)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
pursuant to the provisions of the Street Vacation Act and all
amendments thereto, being Sections 8300.to 8325 and 8340 to 8353
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, provides for the vacation of easements; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach, on June 24, 1983, as a condition of approval in connection
with Resubdivision No. 723, required that subject alley be
vacated prior to recordation of the parcel map; and
WHEREAS, the subject alley is presently unimproved with
no access from adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, all utilities have been notified; and
WHEREAS, the alley to be vacated is legally described
on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and depicted on a map marked
Exhibit "B" incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, proceedings for the vacation of the above-
described alley shall be undertaken by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, pursuant to the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941 and all amendments thereto, being Sections
8300 and 8325 and 8340 to 8353 inclusive, of the Streets and
Highway Code of the State of California;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that notice is hereby given that the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix
September 12, 1983 the hour of 7:30 p.m. of said day, in the City
• Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, located at 3300
Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, as the time and
place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation of said alley, and the City Council at said
time and place will hear the evidence offered by any person
interested in the vacation of said alley, hereinbefore described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution of
Intention shall be published at least once in the official news-
paper of the City, and said publication shall be made before the
date set for the hearing of all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation.

That certain strip of land, 20.00 feet wide, described as Alley it
Resolution No. 11209 of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County,
California recordediri8o6k.l9,V Pages 35 and 36 of Official. Records,
Records of said County, more particularly described as follows:
A strip of land, 20.00 feet wide, lying northerly of and adjacent to
Lots 31 through 35 inclusive of Tract No. 1220 as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 38, pages 49 and 50 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California and lying northerly of and adjacent to Lots
142 through 146 inclusive of Tract No. '1218 as shown on a map recorded
in Book 37, Pages 47 through 49 inclusive of said Miscellaneous Maps.
The side lines of said strip of land shall terminate at the northerly
prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 31 and the northwesterly
prolongation of the northeasterly line of said Lot 146.
