• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF REIMS LANE PUBLIC UTILITIES EASE-
MENT AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD
SAID RESOLUTION UPON C014PLE91ION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the City of
Newport Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, a drawing prepared by the Public Works Department,
No. R/W- 5472 -L, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
which shows the area the City is considering vacating; and
WHEREAS, on September 23, 1.983, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 83 -97 declaring the City's intention to
vacate the public utilities easement within Reims Lane, a private
street, and set October 24, 1983 as a date for a public hearing
thereon; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 1983, the City Council held a
public hearing for the purpose of hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation of the above - described
easement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
after review of all the evidence submitted, has determined that
the vacation of a portion of Reims Lane public utilities
easement, (Tract No. 8336), depicted on a map attached hereto as
Exhibit "A ", is unnecessary for present or prospective public
use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, that the easement referred to herein
• be and hereby is ORDERED VACATED AND ABANDONED.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. the City Clerk of the City
of Newport Beach be and hereby is ordered to cause a certified
• copy of this Resolution, attested by the Clerk under the seal of
the City of Newport Beach, to be recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder for the County of Orange.
