• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH PURSUANT TO REVIEW, MODIFYING
EXISTING RESOLUTIONS BY RESPECTIVELY
SUNSETTING AND EXTENDING TERMINATION DATES FOR
VARIOUS CITY BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND
COMMITTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to council policy, at its meeting of
October 24, 1983, the City Council reviewed the various Boards,
Commissions and Committees for the City to determine necessary
changes; and
WHEREAS, as a result of such review, the City Council
has determined that the Resolutions establishing the various
Boards, Commissions and Committees require amendments to provide
for new termination dates; and
WHEREAS, the Resolutions establishing the following
groups require modification to provide for sunsetting of those
groups:
1. Local 208 Planning Advisory Ad Hoc Committee -
Resolution Nos. 9903 and 82 -145;
2. The Santa Ana Heights Ad Hoc Committee - Resolution Nos.
82 -66 and 82 -145;
3. The Joint City Council /Planning Commission Ad Hoc
Housing Task Force - Resolution Nos. 82 -103 and 82 -145 -
effective December 31, 1983;
4. The Ad Hoc Steering Committee for RUDAT - Resolution No.
83 -20;
5. The Ad Hoc Council Redistricting Committee - Resolution
No. 83 -21 - effective December 31, 1983;
6. The Ad Hoc Election Procedure Review Committee -
Resolution No. 83 -22 - effective December 31, 1983;
7. The Mariners Mile Traffic Circulation Ad Hoc Committee -
Resolution No. 83 -78 - effective January 9, 1984.

WHEREAS, the Resolutions establishing the following
groups require modification to provide for extending their
• respective termination dates:
1. The Aviation Committee - extend Resolution No. 82 -145 to
December 31, 1984;
2. The City Council Ad Hoc Airport Committee - extend
Resolution No. 9981 to December 31, 1984
3. The City Council Balboa Bay Club Ad Hoc Committee -
extend Resolution No. 833 -22 to December 31, 1984;
4. The Joint City Council Planning Commission /Parks,
Beaches and Recreation Commission Ad Hoc Committee -
extend Resolution No. 83 -56 to October, 1984
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Resolutions described above be
amended to provide termination dates as hereinabove described.
