RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING RATE INCREASES FOR
UNIVERSAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE IN CONNECTION
WITH JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT AND CITY LIBRARY FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, on January 24, 1983, the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 83 -13, which established rates
for janitorial services for the Police Department and Library facilities;
and
WHEREAS, on December 1, 1983, the City received a letter
notice from Universal Building Maintenance concerning their rate increases
for janitorial services, effective January 1, 1984, which services are
presently being performed for the Police Department and Library facilities;
and
WHEREAS, The Assistant to the City Manager has recommended
that said increased rates be paid as follows:
Police Department Increase
From $2,957 to $3,069 $112.00 /mo.
Newport Center Library
From $1,193 to $1,238 $ 45.00 /mo.
Balboa Library
From $ 828. to $ 859. $ 31.00 /mo.
Corona del Mar Library
From $ 362. to $ 376 $ 14.00 /mo.
Mariners Library
From $ 606. to $ 629. $ 23.00 /mo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the rates paid to Universal Building Maintenance
be increased as listed above;
