RESOLUTION NO. 96- 65
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH EXPRESSING ITS
INTENTION TO REPEAL THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 20.03 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL
CODE PERTAINING TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
RECORD REPORTS
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to amend the Report of Residential
Building Records Ordinance and recodify the Amended Ordinance as Chapter 15.15 of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Amendment and Recodification of the Ordinance requires the
repeal of Chapter 20.03 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, amendments to Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code may
be initiated by Resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach that:
1. The City Council intends to repeal the provisions of Chapter 20.03 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code;
2. The Planning Commission is directed to conduct a hearing on the repeal of
Chapter 20.03 and file a report of its findings and recommendations with the City Council
as specified in Section 20.84.040 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Chapter 20.03 is hereby repealed
by the City Council of Newport Beach.
