A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
SUPPORTING THE SUBMITTAL OF IRVINE AVENUE, UNIVERSITY DRIVE TO
• BRISTOL STREET, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH HEREBY
RESOLVES, DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City supports regional coordination of transportation
improvements, and;
WHEREAS, the City supports the improvement of Irvine Avenue, University Drive
to Bristol Street, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the
County;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby
endorses submittal of grant applications by the County of Orange to the Orange County
Transportation Authority for the improvement of Irvine Avenue from University Drive to
Bristol Street.
Adopted this 28th day of October 11996.
