A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING THE GREENBOOK
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION, 2003 EDITION
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department of the City of Newport Beach
has presented to the City Council certain publications, which are desired by the Public
Works Department to be used in the design and construction of public works
improvements within the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said publication is The Greenbook Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 2003 Edition published by BNi Building News; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt said publication as the
minimum standards to be followed for design and construction of public works
improvements within the City of Newport Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby adopts said publication and as the minimum standards to be
followed for the design and construction of public works improvements within the City of
Newport Beach.

I, LaVonne M. Harkless, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council is seven; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 2004 -2 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 13th
day of January, 2004, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
Ayes: Heffernan, Rosansky, Bromberg, Webb, Nichols, Mayor Ridgeway

Abstain: None
