A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH AMENDING THE BLOCK 800 PLANNED COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT. STANDARDS IN NEWPORT CENTER SO AS TO PERMIT
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CAR WASH AND AUTO DETAILING
FACILITIES AS A PERMITTED USE IN AREA 1 OF THE PLANNED
COMMUNITY; AND TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FLOOR
AREA FOR A RESTAURANT FACILITY IN AREA 1.
• (PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDMENT NO. 596)
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan
must be approved by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth
full particulars of the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on
December 8, 1983, at which time it considered a certain amendment to
the Planned Community Development Standards for the Block 800 Planned
Community Development in Newport Center so as to permit the
establishment of car wash and auto detailing facilities, and the
expansion of the floor area for a restaurant facility in Area 1 of the
Planned Community; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission adopted a
resolution recommending to the City Council that a certain amendment
to the Planned Community Development Plan for the Block 800 Planned
Community Development in Newport Center,, as set forth in the Planning
Commission Minutes of the December 8, 1983 meeting, be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said
amendment to the Planned Community Development Standards for the Block
800 Planned Community Development in Newport Center, as set forth in
the Planning Commission Minutes of the December 8, 1983 meeting, is
• desirable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has conducted a public hearing
on the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of the
law;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned
Community Development Standards for the Block 800 Planned Community
Development in Newport Center, as reflected in the Planning Commission
Minutes of the December 8, 1983 meeting.
