• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE BIG CANYON PLANNED COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS SO AS TO ESTABLISH
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR PROPERTY TO BE
DESIGNATED AS AREA 16 OF THE BIG CANYON PLANNED COMMUNITY,
AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT
(PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDMENT NO. 603)
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be
approved by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth full particulars of
the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on
February 23, 1984, at which time it considered a certain amendment to the
Planned Community Development Standards for the Big Canyon Planned Community so
as to establish residential development standards for property located at the
southwesterly corner of MacArthur Boulevard and Ford Road, to be designated as
Area 16 of the Planned Community; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission adopted a
resolution recommending to the City Council that a certain amendment to the
Planned Community Development Plan for the Big Canyon Planned Community
Development, as set forth in the Planning Commission Minutes of the February
23, 1984 meeting, be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said amendment to
the Planned Community Development Standards for the Big Canyon Planned
Community, as set forth in the Planning Commission Minutes of the February 23,
i1984 meeting, is desirable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has conducted a public hearing on
the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of the law;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
Development Standards for the Big Canyon Planned Community Development, as
reflected in the Planning Commission Minutes of the February 23, 1984 meeting.
ADOPTED this 26th day of March , 1984.
