A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION 8413 TO
DELETE THE PORTION OF PARK AVENUE BETWEEN
MARINE AVENUE AND THE ALLEY WESTERLY FROM THE
PARKING RESTRICTION FOR STREET SWEEPING
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Section 12.55.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides, among other things, that the City
Council shall, by Resolution, designate streets or portions of
streets on which the parking or standing of vehicles shall be
prohibited and shall incorporate into said Resolution the days of
the week and the exact time during which such prohibition shall
be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would
be reasonable and in the public interest to revise the parking
restrictions for vehicles imposed by Resolution No. 8413 by
deleting certain areas of the City in connection with said
sweeping program; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that is is
reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit parking of
vehicles at certain times and in certain areas of the City in
order to effectively operate the City street sweeping program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on the
following days and in the following areas, as depicted on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit "A ":

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
shall erect all necessary signs to indicate said restricted
parking areas.
