A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE ORANGE COUNTY
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN, FINAL DRAFT OF
JUNE, 1984
WHEREAS, the City of Newport: Beach has received a final
draft of the Orange County Solid Waste Management Plan ( "Plan ");
and
WHEREAS, the City Council as required by law, has held
a public hearing and received testimony and comments concerning
the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed
Plan and concurs in the (a) objectives set forth therein; (b) the
method and organization for implementation of the program and
objectives; (c) the procedures for financing the recommended
program; and (d) the City's role as identified in the Plan for
Newport Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach hereby approves the Orange County Solid
Waste Management Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
concurs with the objectives set forth in the Orange County Solid
Waste Management Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
concurs with the method and organization for implementation and
financing of the program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
concurs with the role to be played by the City of Newport Beach
in the implementation of the program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Newport Beach be and hereby is requested to transmit a
• certified copy of this Resolution to the Orange County Board of
Supervisors, after adoption by the City Council.
