A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 84-
130 BY APPOINTING AND GRANTING LEGAL COUNSEL
AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE CITY'S APPLICATION TO
ROBERTI- Z'BERG URBAN OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION
PROGRAM FOR MONIES ON COMMUNITY YOUTH CENTER
DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1984, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 84 -130 which
approved, among other things, the filing of an application with
the State of California for Roberti- Z'berg block grant assistance
funds used for Community Youth Center development projects; and
WHEREAS, the State of California requires the City
appoint an individual designated as City's legal counsel with the
authority to sign said Application; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of completing the
application for funds, and as a housekeeping measure, wishes to
name the City Attorney as its legal counsel authorizing him to
sign the certification on page I of said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the City Attorney, Robert H.
Burnham, be and hereby is designated City's counsel of record
with full authority to execute the certification required in the
application for funds to the State of California for open space
and recreation program monies on community youth center
development projects.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of April , 1985.
