A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUIRING VEHICLES TO STOP
TRAVELLING ON LINDO AVENUE AT BAY AVENUE
• WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides, among other things, that whenever any
ordinance or resolution of this City designates and describes any
street or portion thereof as a through street, or any
intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or
more entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and
maintain stop signs on each and every street intersecting such
through street or portion thereof so designated; and
is
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that there is a
need for intersection control at Bay Avenue and Lindo Avenue due
to the traffic speeds on Bay Avenue and the angle of the
intersecting streets. All vehicles travelling on Lindo Avenue
shall stop at Bay Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, that the following described location
is hereby designated as a location at which vehicles are required
to stop:
Lindo Avenue shall stop at Bay Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer be
and hereby is directed to erect and maintain all necessary signs
at the above location.
