HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-80 - Management & Key Employees SalariesRESOLUTION NO. 87 -80 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR MANAGEMENT AND OTHER KEY EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987 -88 AND AMENDING CITY'S CLASSI- FICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has the authority, under the Newport Beach City Charter, to establish salaries for employees; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended certain salary adjustments for management and other key employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of implementing, effective July 4, 1987, certain salary changes for management and other key personnel. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes, effective July 4, 1987, the salaries for management and other key personnel employees shall be as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and Incorporated herein by reference; and -1- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED in addition to the salary adjustments reflected on the schedule attached as Exhibit "A," City shall pay to the Public Employees Retirement System ( "PERS") Seven Percent (7%) of the Miscellaneous Members, or Nine Percent (9%) of the Safety Members employees' contribution to PERS.
