RESOLUTION NO. 87 -138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING THE BIG CANYON PLANNED COM14UNITY DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS
SO AS TO AMEND THE FRONT, SIDE AND REAR YARD SETBACK REQUIREMENTS
FOR RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS AND GARAGES AND TO DELETE THE PROVISION
FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SETBACKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE APPROVAL
OF A TENTATIVE,MAP
(Planning Commission Amendment No. 651)
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be
approved by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth full particulars of
the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on July
23, 1987, at which time this amendment to the Planned Community Development
Standards for Big Canyon Area 10 was discussed; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission adopted a
Resolution recommending to the City Council the approval of this amendment to
the Big Canyon Planned Community Development Standards, as set forth in the
minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of July 23, 19871 and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said amendment to
the Planned Community Development Standards for the Big Canyon Planned
Community, as set forth in the Planning Commission minutes of the July 23, 1987
meeting is desirable; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has conducted a public hearing on
the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of the laws
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
Development Plan for the Big Canyon Planned Community Development Standards, as
reflected in the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of July 23, 1987.
