A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING LIEN SALE FEES
PURSUANT TO NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 5.15.110(S).
WHEREAS, the City Council has added Section 5.15.110(S)
• to the Newport Beach Municipal Code which states that a towing
company may charge a lien sale fee as provided by resolution and
may begin lien sale proceedings after five (5) days of storage;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish two (2)
rate categories of lien sale fees as set forth hereinafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach as follows:
1. The following lien sale fees are established as the
fees which a towing company may charge until December 31, 1987:
Vehicles valued at one - thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or
less: Lien sale fee of forty dollars ($40.00); and
Vehicles valued over one - thousand dollars ($1,000.00):
Lien sale fee of fifty dollars ($50.00).
The following lien sale fees are established as the fees
which a towing company may charge commencing January 1, 1988:
Vehicles valued at three hundred dollars ($300.00) or
less: Lien sale fee of forty dollars ($40.00); and
Vehicles valued over three hundred dollars ($300.00):
Lien sale fee of fifty dollars ($50.00).
2. This Resolution is to become effective on September
25, 1987.
