A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE PLAN OF THE
CERTIFIED LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM ESTABLISHING LAND USE
PATTERNS, INTENSITY AND DENSITY LIMITS, ARTERIAL ROADWAY
CONFIGURATION, DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS AND OPEN SPACE
REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
IN DOWNCOAST NEWPORT BEACH (IRVINE COAST) [LOCAL COASTAL
• PROGRAM AMENDMENT NO. 13]
WHEREAS, the Coastal Act of 1976 requires the City of Newport
Beach to prepare a local coastal program; and
WHEREAS, as a part of the development and implementation of the
Coastal Act, a Local Coastal Program, Land Use Plan has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, said Land Use Plan sets forth the objectives and support-
ing policies which serve as a guide for the future development in the
coastal zone in the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing to
consider a certain amendment to the Land Use Plan of the Newport Beach Local
Coastal Program, and has recommended approval of said plan to the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing to consider
this amendment to the Local Coastal Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that an amendment to the Local Coastal Program, Land Use Plan
with related provisions and requirements as described in Exhibit "1" is
approved.
