A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S
INTENTION TO VACATE A SEWER EASEMENT AT
182 SHORECLIFF ROAD, IN CORONA DEL MAR
AND SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
,.� the provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets &
Highways Code) is authorized to vacate public easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach intends to
vacate the sewer easement legally described on Exhibit "A" and depicted on a map
attached as Exhibit "B ", the vacation to be processed pursuant to the provisions
of the Street Vacation Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has reviewed
and considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport
Beach prior to declaring its intent to vacate this sewer easement and has
determined that the proposed vacation is consistent with the General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that the time and place for hearing all persons interested in,
objecting to, the proposed vacation of the sewer easement legally described on
Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B ", shall be at 7:30 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard on March 27, 1989, in the Chambers of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach located at 3300 Newport Boulevard,
Newport Beach, California; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution of intention shall be
published for at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing in the
official newspaper of the City of Newport Beach; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that at least two (2) weeks before the day set
for hearing, notices of the proposed vacation shall be conspicuously posted
along Shorecliff Road, with the notices to be posted not more than three hundred
• feet (3001) apart and a minimum of three (3) notices posted. The notices shall
state the day, hour, and place of the hearing and refer to the adoption of the
Notice of Intention.

That portion of Lot 100, Tract No. 1116 in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on map filed in Book 36, Pages 19 and 20
of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the Recorder of said County, within a
certain strip of land, 5.00 feet wide, described in deed to the City of Newport
Beach recorded in Book 1455, Page 304 of Official Records of said County, the
ce ~ter line of said certain strip of land being described as follows:
Commencing at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 100; thence S89 022135 "W
along the southerly line of said lot a distance of 56.66 feet to the True Point
of Beginning;. thence :northerly in a direct 'line to a point in the northwesterly
line of said lot distant.southwesterly 71.23 feet from the most northerly corner
of said. lot.
Excepting therefrom, the southerly 5.00 feet of said certain strip of land.
