RESOLUTION NO. 89 -12
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S
VACATION OF A SEWER EASEMENT AT 182 SHORECLIFF
ROAD, IN CORONA DEL MAR AND SETTING A DATE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets &
Highways Code) is authorized to vacate public easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has reviewed
and considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport
Beach prior to declaring its intent to vacate this sewer easement and has
determined that the proposed vacation is consistent with the General Plan.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held a public
hearing on the proposed vacation of the sewer easement described in Exhibit "A"
and depicted on Exhibit "B" at 7:30 P.M. on March 27, 1989, in the Chambers of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach located at 3300 Newport Boulevard,
Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires to
vacate the sewer easement legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on the
map on Exhibit "B ", the vacation to be processed pursuant to the provisions of
the Street Vacation Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that the sewer easement legally described in Exhibit "A ", and
depicted on the map on Exhibit "B" is hereby ordered vacated and abandoned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have
this Resolution recorded by the Orange County Recorder.

That portion of Lot 100, Tract No. 1116 in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on map filed in Book 36, Pages 19 and 20
of Misc6l'laneous Maps, in the office of the Recorder of said County, within a
certain strip of land, 5.00 feet wide, described in deed to the City of Newport
Beach recorded in Book 1455, Page 304 of Official Records of said County, the
ce ~ter line of said certain strip of land being described as follows:
Commencing at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 100; thence S89 °22'35 "W
along the southerly line of said lot a distance of 56.66 feet to the True Point
of Beginning;. thence northerly in a direct line to a point in the northwesterly
line of said lot distant - southwesterly 71.23 feet from the most northerly corner
of said lot.
Excepting therefrom, the southerly 5.00 feet of said certain strip of land.
