HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-53 - Street Name Change to Santiago DriveRESOLUTION NO. 8q-9,j A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF "22ND STREET" • TO "SANTIAGO DRIVE" WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport Beach has recommended to the City Council the changing; of the street name of "22nd Street" between Irvine Avenue and Tustin Avenue in the City of Newport Beach; and WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code of the State of California authorizes the legislative body to change the name of any city street by adoption of a resolution; and WHEREAS, after consideration of said recommendation it appears that it would be in the interests of the City and convenient to the public to change the name of "22nd Street" to "Santiago Drive," as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that the street name of "22nd Street" within the City of Newport Beach, as shown on the map marked Exhibit "A ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and by this reference is incorporated herein and made a part hereof, be changed to "Santiago Drive." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, in accordance with the provisions of Section 34092 of the Government Code.
