A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S
INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A
EASEMENT FOR STORM DRAIN PURPOSES
AND SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets &
Highways Code) is authorized to vacate public easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach intends to
vacate the storm drain easement legally described on Exhibit "A" and depicted on a map
attached as Exhibit "B ", the vacation to be processed pursuant to the provisions
of the Street Vacation Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has reviewed
and considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport
Beach prior to declaring its intent to vacate this storm drain easement and has
determined that the proposed vacation is consistent with the General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that the time and place for hearim
objecting to, the proposed vacation of the storm
described on Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit
as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
Boulevard, Newport Beach, California; and
3 all persons interested in,
drain easement legally

July 24, 1989, in the Chambers
located at 3300 Newport
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution of intention shall be
published for at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing in the
official newspaper of the City of Newport Beach; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that at least two (2) weeks before the day set
for hearing, notices of the proposed vacation shall be conspicuously posted
along Jamboree Road, with the notices to be posted not more than three hundred
feet (3001) apart and a minimum of three (3) notices posted. The notices shall
. state the day, hour, and place of the hearing and refer to the adoption of the
Notice of Intention.

County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map filed in Book 152,
pages 17 through 20, inclusive of Parcel Maps, in the office of County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:
Commencing at the most northerly corner of Lot 13, Tract No. 9676, as shown on a
map filed in Book 482, pages 1 through 6, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps filed
in the office of said Recorder; thence along the easterly boundary of said lot
the following described courses: S 300 34' 56" E 126.44 feet;
S 140 02' 03" E 47.18 feet;
S 390 00' 36" E 66.61 feet to the True Point
of beginning; thence N 500 59' 24" E 35.00 feet; thence S 52° 51' 32" W 40.00
feet to said boundary; thence along said boundary N 70 35' 34" W 20.00 feet;
thence N 390 00' 36" W 35.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
Excepting that portion lying within that certain storm drain easement described
in deed to the City of Newport Beach recorded June 6, 1989 as Document No.
89- 298425 Official Records, of said County.
