A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S
VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION
OF CHANNEL ROAD ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 2296 CHANNEL ROAD ON PENINSULA
POINT
• WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets &
Highways Code) is authorized to vacate public streets; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has reviewed
and considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport
Beach prior to declaring its intent to vacate and abandon this portion of street
and has determined that the proposed.vacation is consistent with the General
Plan.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held a public
hearing on the proposed vacation of a portion of Channel Road, as described in
Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B ", at 7:30 P.M. on November 27, 1989, in
the Chambers of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach located at 3300
Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires to
vacate the portion of Channel Road, as legally described in Exhibit "A" and
depicted on the map on Exhibit "B ", the vacation to be processed pursuant to the
provisions of the Street Vacation Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that the portion of street legally described in Exhibit "A",
and depicted on the map on Exhibit "B" is hereby ordered vacated and abandoned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have
this Resolution recorded by the Orange County Recorder.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Channel Road, in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California as shown on a map of
Tract No. 518 filed in Book 17, Pages 33 to 36 inclusive of
• Miscellaneous Map, in the office of the Recorder of said
County, said portion being described as follows:
Commencing at the southwesterly corner of Lot 1; of said
Tract No. 518; thence northwesterly along the westerly line
of said Lot 1 along a curve concave northeasterly, having a
radius of 110.00 feet, through a central angle of 09 053' 3411,
and arc length of 18.99 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence continuing northwesterly along said curve through a
central angle of 09° 44' 18 ", an arc length of 18.70 feet;
thence leaving said curve south 150 00' 00" east 4.33 feet;
thence south 43 °43' 24" east 7.03 feet; thence south 58 °14'
18" east 8.11 feet to the true point of beginning.
