RESOLUTION NO. 89 -133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH RENAIVIING THE WATER
COMMITTEE TO THE UTILITIES COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1977 the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 9215 reaffirming various Standing and Ad
Hoc City Council Committees; and
WHEREAS, one of the committees established by
Resolution No. 9215 was the Water Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
Committee should be renamed to the Utilities Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that Resolution No. 9215 be amended to
rename the Water Committee the Utilities Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Section E be added to the
Utilities Committee authorizing said Committee to review, advise, and
make recommendations on water, waste water, electrical,
telecommunications and geobase responsibilities of the Utilities
Department.
