RESOLUTION NO. 89 -140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING THE
APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE SANTA ANA RIVER FLOOD
PROTECTION AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano has made application to join
the Santa Ana River Flood Protection Agency (SARFPA), a joint powers agency of
the County of Orange, incorporated cities within the County, and other public
agencies within the County concerned with flood protection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that membership of the City of San
Juan Capistrano in the Santa Ana River Flood Protection Agency would enhance
cooperation with the County of Orange and with other cities in the County
regarding mutual flood protection concerns.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does hereby ratify and concur with the application of the city of
San Juan Capistrano for membership in the Santa Ana River Flood Protection
Agency.
