RESOLUTION NO. 90 -15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE
ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
TO INCLUDE JAMBOREE ROAD REHABILITATION
FROM BACK BAY DRIVE TO FORD ROAD IN THE
ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST
FUND PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1990 -91
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, desires to rehabilitate
Jamboree Road from Back Bay Drive to Ford Road; and
WHEREAS, Jamboree Road is classified as a major road on both
the City Master Plan of Streets and Highways and the Orange County
Master Plan of Arterial Highways and is of general County interest; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission intends
to, by appropriate action, provide Special Road Improvement Funds for
the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the County
in accordance with the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Fund
program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach hereby requests the Orange County Transportation
Commission to allocate to said City the amount of $500,000, said amount
to be matched by funds from the City, to be used to aid said City to
rehabilitate Jamboree Road from Back Bay Drive to Ford Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of
Newport Beach agrees with the basic concepts of the Orange County
Unified Transportation Trust Fund Program; and further agrees that its
share of the cost of constructing the improvements will be available for
the Fiscal Year 1990 -91.
